In 2015, the brand released Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), a suite of driver assistance programs, which was added to the Tundra in 2018. In 2021, TSS 2.5 was released, ushering in a savvier suite of driver assistance features. Through the use of sensors and cameras, TSS 2.5 can alert you to potential collisions or obstacles near your Tundra. If you do not react in time, the brakes will be automatically deployed, or a gentle steering correction will be made. It also includes lane tracing assist, which helps keep your truck in its lane; if you don't, the lane departure alert will let you know and make corrections if necessary.

Finally, the automatic high beams use the Tundra's surroundings to answer the eternal question, "Should my high beams be on?" and react accordingly.
